Weekly Notes 9th March to 15th March

🏋️ Health

Health-wise, this week was actually a strong one. I can finally see progress. I dropped around 2 kgs, which is a big deal for me because I’ve been trying to stay consistent for a while now. The biggest challenge is still the side belly fat — that stubborn area that just doesn’t want to go. It’s frustrating, but I think I’m slowly accepting that this will take time and consistency rather than quick fixes.

One thing that made a huge difference this week is discipline around food. I ate much cleaner compared to previous weeks. Less junk, more control, and that directly reflected in how my body felt. I felt lighter, more active, and mentally sharper.

Also, a small but important milestone — I finally bought my first protein powder. This was not just a random purchase. I actually made it a goal. I stayed disciplined with my spending and eating habits for almost 1.5 weeks, saved money intentionally, and then bought it. It cost around ₹2500, but the real win wasn’t the product — it was the discipline behind it.

This is the first time in my life I’m trying protein supplements, so I’m curious to see how my body reacts to it.

I’m also exploring getting a health band. I realized rings like Loop aren’t for me — I don’t like wearing things like that. I even tried my brother’s for a week. But a health band like Amazfit Halo feels more practical. Let’s see when I get that.

💻 Work

Work-wise, this felt like one of my best weeks in terms of flow.

I realized something very important — when your body is clean, your routine is disciplined, and your mind is stable, your work automatically improves. I was missing that agency-style accountability where you are responsible for delivering output.

But now I feel something different — I feel accountable to myself.

And that shift is powerful.

I already have videos prepared, LinkedIn posts lined up, and content in pipeline. Everything feels structured and under control. That feeling of “I know what I’m doing next” is something I was missing for a long time.

However, there was also a small challenge — my SSD got taken due to some encryption issue, and it’s been around 6 days now. That’s actually frustrating because I only have 500GB internal storage which is already full. Working without SSD slows everything down. But I guess this is just one of those temporary hurdles.

🧠 Brain Refreshment

This week I watched a podcast that stayed with me.

📎 Russ x Chris Williamson Podcast

One line from that podcast hit hard:

“Balance is a luxury.”

And the way I understood it changed my perspective.

We often think balance means dividing time equally — work, gym, life, fun. But that’s not balance, that’s scheduling or discipline.

Real balance is when you have the freedom to choose how you spend your time without pressure. And that only comes when you have built something strong — financially, mentally, or creatively.

Until then, you don’t chase balance.
You chase intensity.

You give 110% to something.

If you love editing — go all in.
If you love fitness — go all in.
If you love building — go all in.

Balance comes later.

Another simple but powerful realization:

When you find joy in doing something, focus becomes natural.
You don’t need motivation.
You don’t need force.

You just do it.

📖 Learning

This week taught me a very practical lesson:

Consistency makes time feel fast.

I don’t know how, but this week just flew. I didn’t even get time to process it. And I think the reason is simple — I stayed consistent.

When you are disciplined, your brain stops overthinking and starts executing. And when that happens, days pass quickly because you’re actually doing things instead of thinking about doing things.

Another small but interesting learning came from my purchases:

If you attach discipline to reward, you can control your habits better.

I didn’t just randomly buy protein powder.
I earned it through discipline.

That mindset shift is something I want to keep.

☕ Small Wins

This week had a lot of small but meaningful moments.

One of my close friends from Chandigarh visited Mumbai. He runs a travel agency and was here with his group. We spent around 3 hours together at my place, and honestly, that time was amazing. No plan, no structure — just laughter, jokes, and random conversations. Sometimes the best moments are unplanned.

Another great moment — I met my college friend who recently shifted to Mumbai from Kolkata. We spent a good evening together — dinner, conversations, and just catching up after months. Those moments remind you of who you were and how far you’ve come.

Also, a fun little thing — I bought a sticky phone pad, and I’ve been playing with it for 3 days straight 😂. It’s surprisingly useful. I can stick my phone anywhere and record content easily. Small tool, big utility.

Another wholesome moment — a colleague’s dog visited the office. Such a cute dog. I’ve attached the photo. These small moments add unexpected happiness to the week.

I also started experimenting with short 30–60 second content clips, like event-style storytelling. It’s an idea I’ve had in my mind for a while, and now I’m finally starting to execute it. Let’s see how it turns out next week.

“Balance is a luxury.”

You don’t start with balance.
You earn it.

✍️ A Poem by Me

Zindagi ke safar mein,
Humsafar ho tum,
Aant tak aaye to gum ho tum,
Peeche muda to nahi the tum,
Kyuki mujhse jude hua,
Mera hissa ho tum.

Translation / Meaning

In the journey of life,
You are the one walking beside me.
By the end, even if you fade away,
And when I look back, you may not be there—
Because somewhere along the way,
You became a part of me.

This poem is about people who don’t stay forever but still become part of who you are. Even if they’re no longer present, their impact stays within you.

💭 Closing Thoughts

This week felt fast, disciplined, and aligned.

I didn’t overthink much.
I executed more.
And because of that, everything felt smoother.

From buying my first protein powder through discipline, to meeting friends, to getting back into creative flow — everything pointed toward one thing:

When you control your habits, your life starts moving in the right direction automatically.

Now the goal is simple:

Stretch this consistency as long as possible.
